IDK if its just you or a 2013 problem but everything I have seems to be leaning toward the front..I have propped some up..also mounded more dirt around the bottoms of some. I would say plant deeper next year since you know the size they can achieve now

Do you mean the whole thing is leaning from the bulb, or just the petioles? (Is that the right term on these plants?) Are they against a wall or other obstruction?

Tilting from the dirt level. I used a few rocks to support the bottom. They are in very large pots. When any breeze blows the huge leaves really stress out the stem.

Maybe they've grown too quickly in shade and never developed enough strength. New leaves should come out better adapted to the circumstances you're keeping them in.

What varieties are we talking about here?

It's pretty unusual for the weight of leaves to snap petioles, is that what's happening, or are the leaves gradually descending, petiole and all, or just arching the petiole over and laying them on the ground?

I'm having trouble invisioning what the plants are doing...
Sometimes pets. on old leaves get weak and give when it's windy or raining...that's what's shown in my pic...

You do indeed, purp, I snagged a few of the floor of a GH last year, now I have em all over the place...

That pots way over grown, the colocasia are just takin it over!
That big violet stem is comin out this week.
There's another pot that matches it, I planted em last year, with a big portora in each, I got all the colos out of one and the portora in that pot is 3x the size of the one in the over grown pot... No matter how much fert I give it the colo steal it all!
I have violet stems over 8' in the ground now too, so nobody is real happy in that pot...
