Hey Mark,

You don't have to refrigerate them at all. Just wait for winter to come. Do not let the pot they're in freeze though. You can overwinter it in any cool to cold place that doesn't get below freezing. I would continue to grow them in a pot until the end of next year, and then you can plant them out in fall. Arisaema typically go dormant in late summer, so no worries.

Interesting thread...I've learned a lot. I bought one plant 8 years ago and now I have hundreds. These plants spread like crazy if left alone. The bulbs multiply and the seeds go everywhere. My plants will take the heat of our VA summers and will die back at first frost. I have noticed that the seedlings do not look like the full grown plant at first. As seedlings they look more like a violet until they get more leaves.
