In like a lamb

= lots of new sprouts. I went out to find 39 containers have sprouted in this warm weather.

Nine of fifteen tomato containers sprouted, all from 2006 trade seeds. Awesome.

In like a lion here. The first real snow accumulation since that freak October storm. But, it's already March, so it won't last long.
Congrats on your sprouts. I can't wait to start getting some here.

Going to be like an elephant here today- severe storms again.

Whatever we get in terms of a storm is supposed to hit tomorrow. In fact, I left the things that I wintersowed today in the garage and will put them out after the storm passes. All are in reused milk jugs so they are not really sturdy.
I planted the first of my tomato seeds today. I think I should have started sooner, but I went by when I did things in prior years.
Great success with those 2006 seeds, drippy!

Congratulations Drippy! I started off fast, but now nothing new has sprouted. I moved my containers to a full sun spot. I'm going to try to sow this Sunday.

My only sprouts are my Clarkia, and they're sitting right in front of the vent for my dryer. LOL! I had some Pasque Flowers sprout in January, but they got zapped in the next freeze. I put out another container of those. They're the most beautiful deep purple, and bloom early and stay small so you can tuck them anywhere.

Beachgrub, you must be further north in Michigan. I'm in Grand Rapids, and we just got 4-5 inches this week. It was darned heavy stuff--no one could use their snow blowers and it turned to ice as soon as you drove on it. But, it's all gone now. Our spring and sprouts are just around the corner.

Hey, Karen, you ok? Most of the worst passed north of us, but a little too close for comfort. Three miles north had some pretty devastating damage. I spent a good chunk of time in the interior hallway, but thankfully, the worst storms passed us by. Internet was down til late today; otherwise ok. Hope you are, too.

I'm fine too drippy, thanks. It was just so awful. Tornado reports were coming so fast. Last I heard death toll was 3 in Ohio, 19 in Ky, 14 in In., all within about an hour's drive from my house...and then there was a baby found in a field 10 miles from her home- and her whole family was killed...

Sad, bizarre and happy all in the same moment - they had a news shot of a man here in Limestone County weeping and hugging the dog he found alive and ok in the rubble that was once his house. I can't even imagine - seeing the aftermath is so weird enough.
