It is a real beauty. As pretty as I've seen anywhere in south Florida. Is this over near you in Etowah or Calhoun county? Can you tell us a little more about how the plant is protected in winter? Microclimate info? Does it lose its leaves in winter?

the plant is in calhoun county and receives only mulching in the winter. its almost too big to do anything else. its planted on the ne corner of a house...not too much of a warm microclimate. the foliage freezes back when temps drop into the low 20s from my experience.

im not sure if this plant is a hardier clone or they just get hardier with age.
