No sprouts in my 2011 containers, since I just started sowing about 10 days ago, but I am so thrilled about other stuff coming up that I must report!
Purple coneflower, heliopsis (a variegated one!) and lilac seedlings I was sure had been lost (never really got planted out) are showing signs of life! I was jumping for joy this morning!
Since I never got around to winter-protecting my pots last year, with all the terrible weather we had, I was sure lots of things would be lost. But I see leaf buds on my mature lilac, the weigela, life happening on the yellow gaillardia and other things - I am psyched!
Off to prepare some jugs to get some serious sowing started!
