Amorphophallus koratensis dormancy

I have an Amorphophallus koratensis that just went dormant. I went to dig it up and the roots are still alive and strong. Is it okay to dig it up anyway or should I wait? The leaf is gone.

I had this one, but lost it due to the following problems.
The soil was too wet and cold and the tuber rotted. Make sure the soil is warm and on dry side, keep pot in heated basement or closet. Leave tuber in soil during dormancy, this is one that must be kept in soil during the dormant phase.
