Not a macrorhiza...

...Or is it?

Always assumed it was but the leaves that start out vertical, level out to a ninety degree angle...macs stay up,right?

So what the heck is this thing?

That is Alocasia macrorrhizos, the leaves don't stay completely upright all the time. As the leaves get a bit older they tend to level out. Most photos you see of the plant with only vertically held leaves have been trimmed.

So all the time I've been telling people it was a mac,I was right. Whew,..that's a relief. lol
