HELP! Save My Azalea!!!

During Autumn my Azalea started to get these white speckled discolouration on its leaves eventually this discolouration spread over the whole leaf and spread over the half of the plant. My mother decided to prune it while I was at work and now the little leaves that it has left have turned brown and it looks like it is dying! Please if someone has any ideas to help save my azalea it would be much appreciated!

As for what's wrong, look for info about azalea lace bug.

You could also have a soil moisture problem now. If it was recently planted or is potted, the root ball may be dry while the surrounding soil is moist. You may want to leave a hose slowly dripping on top of it for an hour or extract it & dunk it in a pail of water for a while. Make sure you mulch to reduce the amount of water needed and-or the frequency of waterings.
