Maybe 'jetlag' is keeping it up and growing . Thai's are doing lots of colourful Caladiums .

Seriously doubt it came from Asia as it only cost 4 bucks.lol It has put up two new leaves since I got it .Others have been dormant for over a month.
Caladiums as you may know are native to the Neo Tropics. but have been hybridized for ages. I was just curios as to what crosses were used to eliminate the dormancy??
It definitely doesn't look like the run of the mill C. I'd say Xanthosoma

Caladium lindenii used to be xanthosoma, so it's quite possible that others may have been reclassified.

A Borneo species has been evergreen in my friend's garden since she got it about 7 years ago, though I've seen it go dormant elsewhere.

Interesting, I posed this question on the Florida forum
and evrybody that had tried the supposed "evergreens" they went dormant.lol Several nurseries have told me there is no such thing as an evergreen Caladium. Oh well whatever it is, certainly is a beauty. thanks gary

Gary , as Pam pointed out Caladium lindenii is evergreen .
Though most think it as still a Xanthosoma it has been classified a Caladium for at least 10 years maybe more .
