Your garden conditions are ideal as they need moist conditions during the growing season (winter) and "bone dry" during the dormant season (summer). Just google Arum italicum and you should have many hits.

Thanks so much for narrowing this info down for me.

I googled and got tons of sites.
Thousands were bulb catalogs.

Most of the growing info pertained to the UK. LOL

The US growing areas referred to San Francisco (dry, very cool summers), Seattle, and a few successful places with mild winters and muggy summers, such as Alabama, Mid Atlantic, Tennessee etc.

None referred to Texas.
