Took the Leap :)

Well I have 14 containers (5 different flowers) baking in the sunshine. :) It's 50 degrees today and will be in the high 40s low 50s all week but the nights will still be well below freezing so I think I picked a good time to start. And I had a blast getting my hands dirty and playing outside in shorts and a tee shirt in the beginning of March :)

today I sowed:

Aquilegia (Columbine)

Delphinmums

Hollyhocks

Sweet peas

Ligularia (gold groundsel)

Now it's a race to see what comes up first!

Congratulations, craftlady! And welcome to the madness! I've got 20 containers of different type columbines WSd and about a dozen of delphiniums. Isn't it fun to get your hands in dirt this time of year? I started WS back in December, kept going right through January and February and it doesn't look as though I'll finish until the end of April at the rate I'm going.
Went dumpster diving this afternoon for another bag of milk jugs. I'm going to wait and WS annuals a little later. The weather may be balmy the next few days but it can still turn cold at a moment's notice.
Let me know if you need seeds. The folks on this forum were very generous to this newbie and I still have lots left that you're more than welcome to. If you'd like me to send you a list, just email me and I'll let you know what I've got still.
    Happy gardening!

Spectacular day here in north central CT too, Joann. Temp 55, nice breeze, bright sunshine. I washed sheets and hung them out on the clothesline, opened windows and set my daylily and tomato seedlings on the windowsill in the sun. They got warm fresh air and direct sun the whole day. Only just closed the windows a few minutes ago. It was a great day to be outside and start tidying up the flowerbeds.

gardenweed - that's such a generous offer! I have a bunch of seeds left to sow so I don't think I'm really in need but if no one else wants them and you need to get rid of them let me know. or if I get all mine done and need more I'll certainly let you know!

Joann, that's not too far from me, I'm in the Lehigh Valley. 2 gorgeous days in a row, I'm so happy! :)
