What is this? Genera at least please?

My wife brought home this plant from somewhere. It is a mass of vines about pencil size in diameter, but very short internodes so many leaves. This is a scan of one leaf which is about 6" long. All-in-all, it is a mass about 2 foot or 3 foot in all dimensions in a 16" pot. She wants me to tell her how to take care of it, and what is it?

Thanks in advance

This looks like a syngonium. I have a similar one. This plant has done best for me when it is regularly watered.

Thanks a lot philofan. An image search on Google says you're right and gives it most probably as Syngonium podophyllum, arrowhead vine. From all the data I found on it, I might at least be able to keep it alive.

Looks like one of the Syngoniums to me also. they come in many colors and growth habits.
I'm sure you won't have this problem but I planted some in the shadehouse and it pops up everywhere lol.
Very attractive plant when small but as it climbs the leaves become a dull green and it will smother everything without constant pruning.
If you figure out a way to "kill" it please let me know lol gary
