    It is a natural stone, yes it will work with a glass gas burning fireplace.

    What was the stain used on the mantle and beams ? What type of wood is the mantle ?

    The stain for the beam work is a custom mixed color. The wood material I believe is walnut. Unfortunately I do not have the name of the stone on the fireplace. A local mason can assist you with finding the stone. Best, Markay Johnson Construction
