Bathroom tile selections

I'm renovating my new 1950's beach cottage and need tile advice. In the masterbath (haha its miniscule) I've chosen white carrara hexagons for floor and shower floor with white subway tile on all the walls butting up to my wood floors. In my addition which is a bed/bathroom we have to go outside to get in I chose a wood plank tile (moisture issues out there) but I am unsure of the bathroom. Should I carry the wood tile into the bathroom and shower floor and do the white subway tile on the walls or should I do carrara hexagons on the shower floor. It's super tiny too which is why I thought maybe I should carry it all the way in. My decorator suggested a pebble shower floor but my flooring contractor discouraged me from it saying it is terrible to clean and uncomfortable on your feet. It's gonna get uber sandy too. Help!
