Dark cabinets with white marble is a stunning look and has a timeless feel. If you really love that look, then go for it! What I do recommend, however, is that you pay attention to lighting. With dark floors and cabinets layers of good lighting will be paramount. Under cabinet lighting, pot lights in the ceiling (which you have), peninsula/island pendants or pot lights and one nice big chandelier over the dining table (assuming you will be replacing the small round table). And I love what someone else said earlier about polished finishes for door hardware for a bling effect. I would also match your faucet and light fixture finish to the polished handles and knobs.
