I am trying my hand at raised beds this year. My garden does not get the greatest drainage due to loads of clay. Anytime that I have ever done any sort of "container" gardening, I find that lining the containers with moss does a tremendous job in conserving water as well as helping with good drainage. So using the same concept, I have lined 2 of the 4 beds with moss, in the hopes that it will help to absorb some of the excess water that does not drain off. I am just wondering if this is a good idea or if this will pose a problem as the season goes on. I would really appreciate some input here before I go lining the last 2 of the beds this week.
