those balls are from a sweetgum tree (liquidambar styraciflua) and they have begun to decompose a bit and lost their little spikes around the holes.
the round pods could be the dried remains of muscadine or scuppernong fruit. i see what appears to be a tendril on the vine.
i don't think most people have a skin reaction to common sumac; at least i don't. your picture is likely of staghorn or winged sumac since the dried fruits appear to be dark red.
there is a plant called poison sumac that she may be thinking of but it is not very common.

I just want to make sure I can turn out my livestock and not get them sick. I am going to look up those names now and make sure my animals can graze it.

My first thought on 'c' was dried maypop fruits(Passiflora incarnata), but unless that's a really huge red oak leaf they're superimposed on, the ones in the photo are awfully small.
