I have a suggestion if you are looking for garden folks who give programs. Why not contact your local daylily club? Alabama is in Region 14 of the American Hemoracallis Society. The clubs are evenly populated by both men and women, with many who have lovely private gardens on display.

Go to the Region 14 web site at
http://www.ahsregion14.org/

Click on "Clubs and Societies" and you should be able to find an AHS sponsored club near you.

I am also having problems with programs. It's the hardest part of the job. Our extension office has been the most helpful source with the Master Gardener's Program supplying speakers. Club members do a wonderful job if you can just get them to get involved.

I teach our local Master Gardener course on native plants and also do a variety of programs on native plants. You may email me if you're interested.
