It did make me cough yesterday when I opened the bag and poured it into another container. It can be dusty. But I feel fine now. You may want to consider wearing a dust mask next time you use it.

I usually buy a large bag and empty it into a plastic pail (that had cat litter in it) so a lot of the dust dissipates. If you keep it in the bag, the dust kind of stays there and you breath it in each time you scoop it out.

Could be the dust or an allergy to an ingredient. I'd think feather meal might bother some people. Maybe you're allergic to alfalfa (RT contains alfalfa)?

Thanks you guys, I hope its not the alfalfa because I could really see a difference in my roses when I finally started using it. I think I am going to skip the rosetone next year. I hope I don't regret it. I think I will buy some masks next spring since I am finished with fertilizing this year. I have had this cough all summer and don't want it next year.
