Ideas for new bed

I am planning/planting a new bed for my front yard. It is kidney shaped w/ young Autumn Glory maple at one end; approx. 8'L x 5'W. My ideas are: Rusty/purple bearded iris, red/rusty dianthus "rosish one", candytuft "autumn beauty", coreopsis "rosea sweet dreams", coreopsis "grandiflor domino", catananche "white w/ red eye", gaillardia "burgundy", daylily "stella d'oro", and agastache "cana". Please comment & tell me what you think about this mix: success w/ same, length of flowering, too many plants, bad choices?, etc. (Some of this may be too similar & I will eliminate choice). Trying to find a mix of heights and to stay in the yellow/rusty purple red/white color scheme. I am most unfamiliar with this agastache "cana". I have the "Blue Fortune" and it has done well in my back garden bed, but don't know about this one. Opinions, please? Other suggestions. Oh, the bed has great soil (all manufactured by DH), & full sun. Thanks so much!!
