I'm a magazine junkie and subscribe to way too many magazines.

I really like Fine Gardening - lots of practical articles. The subscription is high though.

Other favorites are Country Gardens and Horticulture.

Another junkie here. Most magazines have a site online...some I think have an article or two to get a feel for the mag, some will sometimes send a trial copy...just write cancel on bill when it arrives if you don't like it. I like Horticulture, Carolina Gardener (particularly because they focus entirely on plants for southeast) , and Garden Design (expensive but it's my treat for myself---I love a beautiful magazine and this excels them all in both writing and photography). Country Living Gardener has been discontinued but someone posted recently that they may just put out irregularly on newsstands. I really liked that one--had just renewed for 2 years.

There's sometimes a post on the Book Review forum about magazines...you might want to do a search in that forum, too.

I love BIRDS & BLOOMS, and of course, ALABAMA GARDENER!

I also get Garden Gate (it's been a long-time favorite).

I LOVE the magazine from the North American Gardening Club - lifetime member, and well worth it for lifetime subscription. Also enjoy BIRDS AND BLOOMS, and HORTICULTURE - and the Seasonal publications from Garden Style, etc.
SOUTHERN LIVING is not bad - but there is too much COOKING in there for me! That is not my scene - much as my DH wishes i would!
I used to get COUNTRY LIVING GARDENER, was really disappointed when they canceled it. I want ALABAMA GARDENER - hmmm, guess i better search for a link huh?

I think I have subscribed to just about all of them at one time or another, but my favorite is Garden Gate. Read it cover to cover and keep every issue. Melanie

I have found GW to be so far superior to any magazine, including Hortiplex, that I just don't bother any more. Gardenweb rocks!

Fine Gardening and Greenprint has great stories, well worth the subscription.

A few that I subscribe too and enjoy are Country Gardens (published by Better Homes and Gardens), Backyard Living & Birds & Blooms (both published by Reiman). I also like Fine Gardening (published by Taunton). Hope you find something you like. :)
