Gee, I'm sorry I missed those.

I went to the Longleaf sale on Friday and am happy to report that sales seemed brisk. Y'all should try to go to next year's sale, it is worth the trip - I saw quite a bit of unusual stuff. Alabama Power Company was giving away trees - Red Maple, Dogwood, Redbud, and Grancy Greybreard.

For those not familiar with Longleaf Botanical Garden, it is in the process of being established. It will feature native flora and gets its name from the longleaf pine. The setting is really gorgeous!

Dan Spaulding, curator and naturalist of the museum, tried out the new bench at the entrance of the Longleaf BG. Then, he was off again finding plants for folks and answering question.
