Wow! Good for you! I have Veteran's Honor and currently have a large bouquet of it mixed with Elina. Absolutely glorious as their bloom size is similar.

My VH has had issues with BS and some rust this year (Aggravation), so you will need to monitor or spray. But I must tell you that the blooms are to die for and last forever in a vase. Some say that it doesn't smell, but I beg to differ. It is worth putting up with its disease issues.

Last weekend, I saw a McCartney Rose at Heirloom Rose Gardens in St. Paul, Oregon. It looked like an octopus, very long canes and no blooms. I was not impressed, but it may have been an off day.

I did see a Eureka in bloom at a city park where they spray and it was amazing--the most striking rose out of a couple hundred different roses. In fact, it is on my list for next year.

Oops! It must be getting late and my mind has turned to mush. I thought you said "Eureka" instead of "Julia Child". I have a Julia Child, its first year in my garden. Its blooms are a soft yellow and the shrub is three feet tall. So far, very disease resistant -- very little BS. Sorry for the boo boo. Roses on the brain. CJ
