If there is a washer in the female end of the hose that has a small hole to restrict water flow, you might try enlarging the one in the second hose. Hope this helps.

I've been a sucker for soaker hoses for 20 years. Whether it is one that has little holes and sprays or those black ones made from recycled tires that "weep and seep". I've learned three things that SEEM to be irrefutable. (1) most sprinkler type and weeping tupe soaker hoses work well in the first 50 feet and the farther down the hose you go, the weaker the water becomes. (2)With the weeping type, if your yard is not perfectly level, the water gathers in the hose and seeps more in the low places and the high places are drier. (3) Soaker hoses just don't work for me. It seems logical that water pressure would remain "somewhat" even, but it doesn't.

Rather than connecting the two soaker hoses to each other, you may want to attach a "Y" fitting to the end of the garden hose which will let you attach the soaker hoses separately.
