I got wo bushes about 2' tall last fall at Pikes nursery, but I hear they are no longer in B'ham. Other good nurseries like petals from the past in Jemison probably have them.

I have heard and read that the "rabbiteye" blueberries do the best around here, as you may know.
I am waiting for the all the berries on mine to ripen, and have the bird netting on them. They like acidic soil, and the rabbiteye bushes are not self pollinating--you need to have at least two bushes of different variety. "Tifblue," "climax," "premier", "powderblue" are popular ones. They can grow pretty fast. My "tifblue" bush is about five feet tall, and supposedly can get up to 10'.

Lowe's had tons of nice blueberry bushes earlier this spring, I haven't looked lately.
