Virburnum

I know I can bend a virburnum branch down to the ground and root it that way. What I really want to do is cut it off and root it. Is this possible?

I don't know if it was pure luck or what but I cut mine way back & moved it this spring.I just put Rootone on the cuttings & filled several pots with soil,stuck them in & put them under a tree.Everyone rooted! Now I have more than I know what to with.LOL

It's a rooting hormone.You can get it under different names at Walmart,Lowes or a nursery.It's a powder.

roots very easly. A litte rooting harmone, put the cuttings in potting soil and keep damp. You will have more then you know what to do with in short order.
