Hi anaturelover,
I tried them last year with no success, but this year
they're doing well. I planted them in the begining
of April (transplants from the garden center) and
they have been blooming since. I do deadhead every
couple of days. That may help. Good luck with yours.

They are perennial plants, but may behave as an annual in your area. I am only experienced with them in warmer climates where they can naturalize.

If you dead head them frequently, you will extend their blooming period, which will last a couple of months, or more if you keep after them. Some newer cultivars may have an extended bloom period.

Your gazanias will bloom the first season from seed. Many of our favorite 'annuals' are actually perennials. Gazanias are one of those plants that will typically be listed in the annual category in some of your seed catologs, for example.
