All of the other stuff except grass, like poison ivy, trees, etc... growing along the sides of the roads still seems OK, at 55 mph, in this drought around where I am - central AL, just N of FL border - although you can tell everything's suffering from the way nothing's growing back after they go through with a "mangler" (proper term?) to keep the roadways clear. Hardly any wildflowers doing any blooming. But the kudzu patches I've seen recently are all silvery and wilted.

I'll try to enjoy knowing that every hour I spend with the hose. I know the war's already lost but it looks like this summer the drought's helping the strangled vegetation at least win a skirmish.
