I have it growing outdoors in my garden. It has survived several winters without any care.

thanks! i have it planted in an area that receives too much moisture. i want to move it to a pot so hopefully it will do a little better. i was a little scared though because i didn't want to kill it due to lack of insulation for the roots.

As Susan stated, this plant can survive with little or no care if it's basic needs are met - full sun and excellent drainage. It should do just fine potted and with little or no supplemental watering, since our winters are typically wet anyway.
