It is but we've had some peculiar weather this summer...occasional north winds with very low humidity.

But you're right, it's hot and humid now. The cicadas are singing their "ssssllLOOOOWWW DDDOWwnnnn..." song :)

This past w/e I think we spent more time IN the pool than out of it.
We also got about 2 1/2" of much needed rain.

Have you seen the commercials with the "food fighting back" and people are getting slapped by their taco or fish? I think the air feels like that. When you go outside, the air starts slapping you in the face, fighting back!

And OMG the skeeters! I just came in from picking about a gallon of figs, which took about 15 minutes. I got more than a bite per minute. (scratch, sweat, scratch, sweat, repeat...)

I worked in Fayette today. It must have been 150 degrees! And they're still without rain over there. Everything is dying - yards, flowers, veggies, and even some bushes.

My shirt was soaking wet when I left there and by the time I got home it felt like it was starched because of the dried sweat.

The downside is I have to do it again tomorrow and the next day, and the next day . . . .

Spoke to a co-worker in Pensocola today and all he could talk about is the heat index down there.Good thing though some of us are getting some good showers.I feel for those who are not getting the afternoon showers and cloud cover.

I'm getting a little waterlogged here; I can think of only one day when it rained in No AL where I didn't get a good part of it. It figures that as soon as I install my rainwater system, all 550 gallons would fill up and then I'd have no use for it. Of course next year I could see nothing.

This morning at 4:30am walking outside felt hotter and steamier than my shower had.
