Appalachian Redbud

Does anyone know anything about the Appalachian redbud tree.I am trying to decide on a tree to plant by my driveway. The ones I am looking at, is the one mentioned above, and --Cherry Kwanazan, Forest Pansy, Prairie Fire Crab. I will be planting it next to a white dogwood. Any good suggestions. Viv

This is what I found about Cercis 'Appalachian Red'.

Hello vivilet,
I would go with either one of the redbuds.The cherry and the crab are both more disease prone. The redbuds are prettier anyway in my opinion. Also, I would put a wire cage around the tree after you plant it to protect it from deer. Happy gardening and God bless,
