When we first moved into this house and started a veggie garden, our whole property was eaten up with the little pests. I ordered a grasshopper control from ARBICO.com. The first year I was too late in putting it down but the next year and since I hardly ever see one. That was more than 10 yrs ago. Good luck

I've learned that if you have open fields and pastures nearby, they seem to flock there and then on to your yard. The couple of times I've had a grasshopper infestation was when we were growing and showing flowers. I sprayed everything in my yard: shrubs, grass, trees and even over the fence into my neighbors yard (they don't cut their grass until it is knee high). Then about a week or so later, I sprayed again. BTW, I used Spectracide.
