For those of you interested in hosta, Bob Solberg is scheduled to speak at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room. Bob is owner of Green Hill Hostas in North Carolina and the title of his presentation will be "Growing Better Hostas."

Among the 50 or so hostas Bob has introduced is the popular Guacamole and Orange Marmalade.

Word has it that he will have some hostas for sale. It is my feeling that we don't get hosta experts in our warm climate too often, so this a rare opportunity.
