we got a steady rain last night. Thank goodness. It had not rained in over 20 days and my grass, azeleas and trees were looking really stressed. I think it will affect the fall color, because some of the trees are just loosing their leaves. Just drying up and falling off. So I too am thankful for the rain

My rain gauge showed 3 badly-needed inches last night (NE Morgan county near Huntsville). The poor dogwoods out in the woods really look stressed. I watered a couple nearest the house, but can't get all of them. I hope they survive. I'm tired of turning on those faucets!

1.4" in western lee county. plants have perked up. more rain would be nice to go along with the cooler temps expected.

Got about 3 inches from Rita and about .03 inches this morning as the front came trough. Only 65 degrees at 1230 was 70 when I got up this morning. The first taste of fall here in North Alabama in SW Morgan County.
