I would plant them now if you can work the soil. Your cloves may not make it until Spring, and besides, Spring planting yields much smaller bulbs.

I planted mine in the spring the first year and they are a bit smaller but it'sbetter than nothing. Save some of the larger ones from that and replant next Oct.
