snow + onions/garlic

Okay - I'm a winter garden newbie. I'm overwintering some onions and started some garlic this year. I'm not too worried about the garlic...but we just recently got some snow (barely an inch or two) and I totally forgot to cover the little onions!

Will they be alright? Temps are into the low 30's, sometimes into the high 20's.

We might have some more snow tonight, but I'm thinking it's too late to provide any protection.

What do you think? Should I just hope for the best? :)
