Under the present circumstances, mulching wouldn't hurt. There's some cold weather coming this weekend and all alliums might appreciate a little help to ward it off. If there is a lot of snow between now and then, it wouldn't matter much either way. To be safe here, I've covered most of the sprouted allium family with pine boughs. Better safe than sorry!
