If you planted (sprouting) onion bulbs you can expet them to go to seed and, unfortunately, not produce edible onions. The garlic will grow through the summer for late summenr harvesting.

I planted sets of onions purchased from local nursery center - I told them I wanted to get onions; I ordered garlic heads from garlicstore.com - I split those into individual cloves and planted.

The question is - do I need to fertilize or treat them with anything - between now and summer ?
