A couple months ago I noticed that an onion started to grow in my compost pile. I don't remember what kind of onion it was except that it was probably brown (helpful, I know). I pulled it out and stuck it in the ground, figuring I might as well finish what nature started. This was probably some time in January. It hasn't started to show a bulb yet and after reading some of the posts about growing onions, I'm worried that my onion won't bulb properly. Should I give up on it or will it be ok?
