I'm so happy for you! It makes you feel soooooo good to see those sprouts.

On the radio they're saying it's supposed to get to 26? tonight, QCT says 38, whbf says 37, and can't find the low on kwqc. They used to have a 10-day forecast. Wow, wqad (never check them) says 23!

Maybe I'll bring one in, cover the ones I can and take a chance on the others.

Good for you!!! Happy sprout dance! Happy sprout dance! My jugs are also mostly in the shade & some are in complete shade but even a few of those (lettuce) have sprouted. So far I've got peony poppies, agastache, foxglove, candytuft, lupine, Shasta daisy, alyssum, bachelor button, achillea, dianthus, rudbeckia 'Autumn Colors,' Chinese globeflower, mallow & California poppies.
I'm in north central CT and they're calling for a low tomorrow night of 23. I think I'll throw a bed sheet over the jug jungle on the breezeway just as a precaution. Back last fall I bought a couple of cheap fleece throws that I figured would come in handy for just this purpose. Now all I need to do is find where I put them. (;-p)

I rounded up all my throw rugs (a lot) and started covering. By the time I was done, some have been blown askew. These aren't all THAT light, but a chilling wind has kicked up, and I don't have the energy to try to secure them in some way.

Who knows where my throw rugs will be in the morning? The heck with it.

I'm not going to do it tonight, but would caps on the jugs for overnight help? The other containers are at least covered with SOMETHING albeit vented. Low to the ground, I'm hoping those won't be affected as much as the ground may provide enough warmth for the few hours the temps may be so low then back to the 50's tomorrow, then low again for Friday night.
