I recieved a set of Walking Onions in the same condition as yours. They were dry and light squishy/shrively and I thought dead. I planted them any ways and 4 out of the 6 are growing beautifully, it took about a week or a week and a half, I believe, before I saw them breaking ground. I did sacrifice one first and cut it in half to find some green down deep...I dont know if you are willing to do this , but it is worth a shot. And you could contact the company too and let them know of your concerns.Because truthfully, I was pretty concerned about it too, but I was just too busy/lazy to call the company and complain LOL.

Thanks for the reply. I did sacrifice one, but it was dead looking all the way through. I will still see if they grow, but I did contact the company and they said they can send replacements. I wonder if it had to with the fact that these were likely from last season...and they don't store well like normal onions.
