The dried flowers, especially dried allium flowers, would also look great dusted with fairy glitter, the pearlescent white/blue kind that sparkles and glows in the dark. It's called Diamond Dust glitter in blue Violet (and other colors, maybe green would be pretty), non toxic, made by Creative Beginnings, at craft stores for $3.00. One bottle would do your whole wedding.

I didn't realize it shimmered and glowed in the dark til I dusted some on a mat around a painting in my garden room and it shimmers beautifully by candlelight. It would be beautiful for a wedding. Not tacky looking. Very glittery and "fairy garden looking." It has a "high end" shimmer, glow. Makes anything look like a million bucks.

Anyways, saw your post and thought of that. I love your idea of what you are doing for your wedding in gathering and drying the flowers now. I put some of this glitter on dried red peonies, just a little, and it takes them from pretty to something expensive looking you'd pay good money for at a garden store! In fact, I've seen it done at high end garden stores! And now I know their trick! Give it a try on a practice run. Congrats!

If you can't find it at a crafts store, the website is www.creativebeginnings.com and I used the ultra fine diamond dust, and it IS ultra fine, like gossamer. It's much finer than regular glitter which I think can look very cheap. It says to sprinkle over craft glue, but I found it sticks to anything it's so fine, so I just dusted it on the mat and it held. It's really gorgeous. All you garden people out there ought to think about using it in your garden crafts.

lacytv, I spray painted my Allium and they turned out well. Here are photos of dried Purple Sensation and Schubertii spray painted using cans found in a craft store. (Sorry about the third photo. Couldn't seem to enlarge it.)
