There are all kinds of garlic nurseries on line, best to pick one in your area if you can, because garlic can sometimes mope if your conditions do not match what the stock was adapted to.

The best of all would be local growers such as you might run into at a local farmer's market. Those that grow good local garlic in your area will have stock already locally adapted giving you a leg up.

Do not overlook family and friends who have been gardening in your area for a long time. Some of them may be able to point you in directions that you might want to pursue.

I agree with OldDutch.. It's best to get garlic form growers near you for best results... My Chinese red softneck garlic took two years to fully naturalize to my area... Now it's growing great this year... I also had some California Giant garlic that nearly all died last season but the two surviving bulbs are growing strong this year...

Though technically a leek... I'm pretty sure now that my elephant garlic had to naturalize also...
