My family thought I was crazy winter sowing last year. I was a newbie. I was excited about it and talked about it and none of them believed it was true. I shared some of the tomato plants. I encouraged my dad to retain some seeds from a tomato he was eating and winter sow them. Next thing I know, there are a bunch of containers on their porch, and in their yard. He was excited to tell me of some germinating. I found out my sister has been going there too to try it. Aha! New recruits. Advantages - I passed on a great method to my family. Disadvantages - two less bottle sources! Anyone else have success with new recruits?
