I know fall is the normal planting time. But just for experimenting, I planted some store garlic cloves in spring in container. They came up, but died down in 2-3 months or in the summer. They produced small rounds.

I left the rounds in the same pot. Then they again started growing 2-3 weeks ago. Now they are 6-7" tall. Also, a local farmer is selling some garlic green about the same size.

So what is your experience growing garlic in spring and in summer, other than in fall for next year?
