Didn't do much .....

...but finally got Cosmic Orange Cosmo, African Daisy 'African Moon', some of the South African Foxglove and Strawflower planted this morning. Was a little disappointed with the outcome of the Strawflower...only a total of 5 seedlings planted out :(

Tomorrow I'll be going to town and will be picking up 2 more bags of potting soil so I can get the Cucumber 'Cucino' and tomatoes in their final containers. Hopefully will have time to get the other Tomatoes and Minn. Midget Melon in the ground. Tuesday I'm going to work on potting up the tiny Heuchera and then plant out all the rest of the Zinnia. These are growing fast!

Temperatures are cooling down after tomorrow into the upper 60's with possible chances or rain for the next week so hope to get as much planted out as possible.

I'm still waiting on the following to germinate tho:

Datura 'Golden Queen'

Datura (white)

Datura (purple)

Celosia (creamy yellow)

Celosia (burgundy)

Cosmos (dwarf white)

Nasturtium 'Tip Top Velvet'

Nasturtium 'Empress of India'

Hibiscus (white Texas Star)

Tomato 'Black Cherry'

Yvonne's Salvia

Monopsis debilis (might just jump it out)

vera, you wear me out!! lol you're working way to hard and need to take a break!

I put quite a bit in the ground yesterday and put a lot of jugs in the flower beds where I'm going to plant them. My one big new flower bed is pretty much going to be a plunk & run. I'm just going to put stuff in and worry about height and that later. I may be moving some stuff next year, but I'm not worried about it. I'm already behind getting the veggie garden in because it's been so wet and rainy. my yard needs mowed too, I've only mowed it in pieces because it's been so wet.

    don't work so hard!! :)

    Hello Barbi :D

That was actually yesterday that I planted those out, but I posted after midnight apparently LOL!

This morning is nice and mostly overcast weather :D
I did all the rest of the Zinnia, rest of the S. Afr. Foxglove, got one each of Tiger-like and Zapotec Pleated Tomatoes in the ground where the Brandywine are and 3 La Rossa Paste Tomatoes also in another bed. Haven't yet decided where to put the Wisconsin 55, but somewhere mixed in a flower border. I was going to go in with DH to pick up the potting soil, but opted to stay home and plant stuff LOL! It's still early and I'll probably find something else to get planted before I get to potting up the other tomatoes. I've never done Tom's in containers before so that is why I'm trying a few out this way. I'll stake some in the containers and let a few ramble up and over the sides; just my little experiment for the year :)
Next year I'd like to try the method an elderly neighbor 1.5 blocks away does with hers. She cuts the bottoms of 5 gal. buckets out; buries the cut ends in the ground some and then plants her tomatoes down inside. Then the tomatoes grow up and over the sides! Of course there is straw mulch so none touch the bare earth. She's always got a great crop to pick:D

    Hi again :D

I plunk and run when I plant just about everything! I'm moving stuff every fall and spring LOL!

Anyhoo, finally got 2 Wisconsin 55 planted in containers and 4 Cucumber. All my tomatoes are done!!
I had to do some quick thinking and decided no way was I going to have room for the rest of my annuals if I planted tomatoes out in the flower beds.....soooooooooo I ended up giving them to my neighbor. All together I have 11 tomatoes ;now if only the Black Cherry will germinate! Now were going thru another cool spell between tomorrow and memorial weekend...days 50's and 60's. Someone shoot my weather man LOL!

vera, I think I wore myself out today! I was planting out my ws babies all day! At least I got my new bed down the back side of the house all planted. I just hope everything does well in it. I still have quite a bit to plant, but need to do a bit of work in my marshy area before I can plant my damp loving plants there.

I'm sure those black cherry toms will germinate for you. I keep having more tomatoes sprout in containers that I had given up on but left out in the driveway. I'm surprised a bit everday! lol
