just open your containers enough to let the excess heat out so they don't bake. You shouldn't need to shade them or anything as long as they are kept moist enough and don't overheat....unless they are shade loving plants, of course.

I went through the 75 degree plus weather 2 weeks ago here, and was also worried about the kids, but they did just fine.

Do you keep them in Dappled shade for the same amount of time as those you grew inside?

I don't grow anything inside. I keep the sprouted containers in dappled shade until they get their first true sets of leaves and then into the ground they go. How much time they spend in dappled shade depends on how long it take the various sprouts to grow their leaves.

My sanpdragons and shasta daises were fried in the 78 degree warm up a few weeks ago when I had containers on the South side of the house. Now, they are all on the West side and have not been zapped either frost or fried.
