I have cut off some ends off of a nagaimo (Mountain Yam) a month ago and have not seen any growth in them. I have them covered in potting mix in a pot with good drainage. I applied rooting hormone to the cut areas as well. How long would it take for these to take root? I've also heard that nagaimo can be grown horizontally inside of a pipe. Has anyone done this or had any success in any method of growing nagaimo?
