I winter sowed Amsonia in eary '07. Thanks Bakemom for sending me a newbie package (with Amsonia) in my second year since I missed getting one my first year. : ) I gave some of the plants to a friend. Mine turned yellow and I thought they were dead. I forgot they turn golden yellow in the Fall. I sowed some more this year and they are doing great. I was just outside looking at my seedlings. I moved a few of last years containers that I hadn't dumped yet and I made an exciting (to me) discovery. One container had a couple of little sprouts in it. I looked closer and there are several other plants sprouting. On the outside, it's clearly marked Amsonia. I don't know what the little sprouts are but the others are Amsonia. Yippee!!! I have second year Amsonia to plant out. That's just too cool!
