I ordered several different kinds of Asian vegetable seeds from Kitazawa seeds company but none of seed of Sooyow Nishiki Japanese cucumber germinated.

I sent e-mail to this company and asked for replacement of seeds but my message is ignored.

I order a lot of my seeds from Kitazawa and overall have good luck with their seeds. Funny I should happen upon this post as I am in the process of preserving several pounds of these Sooyow Nichiki cukes right now. I like that they are an heirloom, so I'm hoping to save some seeds for next year. I know this post is several years old, but thought it might still be of interest. About half of my garden this year is planted with seeds from Kitazawa. I like to try unusual plants. I'm still trying to grow some large Korean radishes as I love radish kimchi, but maybe it's my soil - they just don't grow big.
